My Story

I have been exposed to beautiful gems and jewelry for as long as I can remember. My father is a California gemstone cutter who taught me the facets of the industry by taking me to the world renowned Tucson Gem & Mineral Show each year and training me how to select the best quality rough materials.

However, I did not always dream of designing jewelry. I followed my own path to New York University, where I pursued an acting career and received a B.A. in Theatre Arts.

Further moved by my love for theatre, my interest in psychology, and my desire to help people, I returned to my alma mater and pursued an advanced degree and graduated with an M.A. in Drama Therapy. While in graduate school, I met a wonderful woman named Fabiana. Inspired by her beauty and the desire to impress her with something handmade, I decided to attempt to make a piece of jewelry. My father provided me with a beautiful strand of natural turquoise, and I set out to learn some jewelry design techniques. Raw material in hand, I headed into the NYC jewelry district and consulted a few designers to start to learn the basics.

Upon completion of the necklace, I presented it to Fabiana. She absolutely loved it! Encouraged by her appreciation, I began taking more in-depth jewelry design classes. I also purchased my own lapidary machines and started cutting & crafting more pieces. As my skills began to develop, more and more people began to express interest in purchasing my jewelry. Fabiana and I then decided to start hosting jewelry parties in women’s homes and I then began entering art shows. That first gift turned into my company Accents in Bloom.

Since then, many years have passed. Now happily married to my wife Fabiana with two beautiful children, I have been so blessed to be able to showcase my designs in museums, galleries, boutiques, fine art festivals across the country and beyond and on the bodies of my many wonderful customers.

I now travel extensively to handpick all the gemstone materials used in my work. Each design is a one-of-a-kind artistic creation handcrafted by me. “As a jewelry artist, my desire is to design jewelry that accentuates a woman’s natural beauty and makes her feel completely unique.”
