Massive SURFITE SURF HEART with a razor blade stuck inside the resin. This is a very special piece! One of the tools of glassing surfboards is a razor blade so this blade dropped into the resin and is frozen in time there in the top left corner. This heart has such gorgeous colors on both sides. Zachary Bloom takes raw materials and turns them into wearable works of art. He is well known for his one-of-a-kind creations and has been exhibiting at art shows for over 20 years.
Zachary specializes in working with raw gemstone rough which he sources worldwide and turns into bold elegant jewelry designs. He also hand-shapes colorful lightweight jewelry out of leftover surfboard resin waste (SURFITE) which he collects from surfboard shapers on the Jersey Shore, across the country, and beyond.
