WOW! That’s an outstanding piece of raw SURFITE I just cut. This one is gonna make some incredible recycled surfboard resin jewelry. I just love working with this material. I slabbed this piece of a huge SURFITE block I collected up in Rhode Island last year. I’m headed back up to RI tomorrow early morning to do a few shows this weekend. Definitely gonna collect more leftover surfboard resin. Stay tuned to my post to see what I score!😜

This Sunday catch me in Westerly, RI at the Windjammer Surf Bar for a wonderful Sea Glass Festival. Hours are 11-5pm rain or shine. I love this show because my space is right in front of their patio which overlooks the beach where tons of surfers ride waves all day long. The show is in their Mariner Room so whatever the weather is it’s no problem! Come see all the talented artisans showcasing their sea glass themed work.😍

Zachary Bloom takes raw materials and turns them into wearable works of art. He is well known for his one-of-a-kind creations and has been exhibiting at art shows for over 20 years.
Zachary specializes in working with raw gemstone rough which he sources worldwide and turns into bold elegant jewelry designs. He also hand-shapes colorful lightweight jewelry out of leftover surfboard resin waste (SURFITE) which he collects from surfboard shapers on the Jersey Shore, across the country, and beyond.
